This privacy policy describes the information we collect about our website users as well as the information we store about our clients.
If you are a client of Captaintech we maintain a record of your name and business contact
details so that we can invoice for our services. Although you have the ability to store a credit
card for convenience, we do not store this information in our database, but rather use a third-party
gateway called Stripe. In addition, we log your interaction with our client dashboard so that we can
provide the service as set out in our Service Level Agreements. By agreeing to use our service you agree
to us capturing and storing the information that we collect.
For users of our public site at captaintech.com.au, we collect analytical data on
how users interact with our website using Google Analytics. This is anonymous data although
your IP address is stored. We capture this information to better understand how our users behave
on our website. We do not actively use your data for the purposes of retargeted advertising or marketing services.
When you provide information to us in a form on our website that information is captured via a HTML form and also sent to Directus. Your contact information is stored in Direct’s database so that we can provide a better service to you.
While you are an active client with Captaintech we will retain your data indefinitely. If you cease to be a client of Captaintech then we review our database every 12 months and remove client data that is no longer relevant to an active service. You can request that this data be removed earlier, and we will comply provided there is no hindrance to us in doing so. Third-party data holders such as Google and Directus have their own data retention settings and can be reviewed in their privacy information.
We do not disclose your contact information to any other third-party other than described above.
Your data is encrypted using SSL technology and all information is only accessible through secure login areas. We do not store your credit card information.
